TunnelPro S.p.A. began its collaboration with Suburban Connect in 2023, when it was appointed to carry out the construction planning study, define the TBM launch procedure, and develop the methodology for station crossings. Subsequently, in 2025, a new contract was initiated covering the design and supply of selected components of the TBM launch structure (TBM Flying Launch System), a key piece of equipment enabling the commencement of excavation operations under restricted space conditions. In particular, TunnelPro was entrusted with the verification of the entire system, as well as the design and supply of the electrical, electronic and hydraulic components. The scope of work also included the design and fabrication of dedicated special steel supports, custom-developed to meet the specific technical and operational requirements of the project.
