TunnelPro was established in 2018 following Ghella and Master Drilling’s acquisition of a business unit of SELI Technologies. The integration of SELI’s know-how in TBM design, combined with Ghella’s international experience in major infrastructure projects and Master Drilling’s expertise in advanced drilling, resulting in a highly specialized company.

Since its inception, TunnelPro has contributed to innovation in the mechanized excavation sector by developing technical solutions and prototypes, the industry’s most complex technical challenges.

Since 2020, the company has been wholly owned by Ghella and operates primarily in two areas:
• Design and construction of TBMs and prototypes for complex projects, including railway infrastructure, renewable energy facilities, and major civil works.
• Technical services for tunnel excavation, supporting the execution of highly complex underground projects.

Ghella is a major Italian global force recognized for its excellence in the construction of large-scale public infrastructure and expertise in the use of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs). Specialized in underground excavation, with five generations of long-standing tunnelling experience, the company has completed over 190 tunnels, connecting more than 1,000 km of metros, railways, motorways, and hydraulic works.
