TunnelPro S.p.A. has been actively involved in the TELT Italia – Lot CO 03-04 Chiomonte project since its early stages. As early as 2021, the engineering department supported Ghella in the development of the technical and economic proposal during the tender phase. The company contributed to the definition of the technical specifications of the TBM — a 10.16 m diameter Dual Mode machine — as well as to the preparation of drawings supporting the excavation methodology. TunnelPro also participated in the construction planning study and in the preliminary design of site installations related to mechanized tunnelling operations. TunnelPro was involved in the analysis and detailed assessment of the technical aspects associated with the design variant proposed in comparison with the solution included in the Employer’s baseline design, contributing to the definition of improved solutions from a methodological, plant engineering and operational standpoint.
